The MHR is celebrating its fortieth anniversary.

From the merger of 1986 to the Shield in 2022

The Montpellier Hérault Rugby was formed in 1986 from the merger of Stade Montpelliérain and MUC Rugby. Champions of Pro D2 in 2003, it established itself in the top tier and won its first European trophies: the European Shield in 2004, then the Challenge Cup in 2016 against the Harlequins and in 2021 against Leicester. Led by businessman Mohed Altrad since 2011, the club finally lifted the Bouclier de Brennus in 2022, beating Castres 29 to 10 at the Stade de France, eleven years after losing its first final against Toulouse.

The jersey for the fortieth anniversary

For its fortieth anniversary, the MHR has released a special edition jersey, a nod to the journey since the merger of 1986, from the early days at the Sabathé stadium to the title of champion of France. It comes in a supporter version, with a straight cut and comfortable fabric for the stands, and in a authentic version, identical to what the players wear, very fitted and made of stretchy, lightweight fabric. To wear the authentic version daily, it's suggested to take one size up. The away jersey completes the collection for those wanting all the club's outfits.

Match shorts, Blaze range and MHR ball

The match shorts home, away and third are the ones that accompany each of the club's jerseys: short cut, fabric resistant to tackles and scrums. The training range Blaze includes a jersey, top, shorts and jogging pants, designed for training sessions and warm-ups, and stylish enough for everyday wear. Finally, the ball Gilbert in the colours of Montpellier, size 5, which is the adult size, is suitable for both passing games and as a decoration for a supporter’s room.
