The bar, the tool for heavy loads.
The men's Olympic bar measures two meters twenty and weighs twenty kilos; its sleeves, fifty millimeters in diameter, rotate on themselves and hold large-holed discs. The women's version weighs fifteen kilos, with a thinner grip. The standard bar, lighter and shorter, uses small-holed discs, about thirty millimeters: it is enough for beginners or home training, but supports lighter loads. The VirtuFit Aerobic bar, lightweight, is designed for group sessions with music and long sets, while the Softee bar, delivered with its attachments, is suitable for moderate loads.
Weight training also includes:
All weight training is gathered on the weight training page.
Strength progression relies on regular increments: adding one or two kilos per session on a mastered movement is better than a sudden jump. The Sporti weights of one, two and five kilos allow for these fine adjustments, and the additional Fit & Rack weights of five kilos complete the load. For younger ones, the bar and child discs Fit & Rack, with a small diameter and light load, teach back placement and leg pushing without risk. We always secure weights with collars to prevent them from sliding during a set.
The pull-up bar Perfect Fitness multi-gym fits in a door frame, no drilling required, and flips onto the floor for push-ups and dips. The HMS bar is fixed to the wall by four anchor points, making it more stable than a door bar. Both strengthen the latissimus dorsi, biceps, and grip, which are used to pull a ball or hold back an opponent. The FLEXI-BAR, a flexible rod about one meter fifty long, weighted at its ends, oscillates at a frequency close to five hertz when you move it: maintaining this vibration forces the deep trunk muscles to work continuously.

Body pump is done with a light bar and discs from one to five kilos, adjusted according to the tracks: heavier for legs, lighter for shoulders. The high number of repetitions requires a moderate load.
Cast iron is compact and durable, ideal for a bar placed on a rack. Rubber absorbs shocks and protects the floor, essential if the bar is dropped on the floor as in weightlifting or CrossFit.
A bar and around forty kilos of discs are enough to learn the movements and progress for several months. Pairs of discs are then added at the pace of progress, focusing on smaller weights that allow for gradual advancement.
Yes, if the frame is made of solid wood or masonry and if the maximum load indicated is respected. Avoid hollow core doors or weakened doors, and check the support before each session.
Discs should be stored on a vertical rack or wall pegs, the bar horizontally on hooks or vertically in a bar holder. Leaving a loaded bar on a rack for too long can eventually deform it.
