A fan's gift that can be played with among friends, signed or kept as a memento, complemented by pages dedicated to the great clubs of the Top 14.

Your club ball, for playing and collecting.

Clermont, Perpignan and Montpellier, three memorable finals

The three French clubs in the selection have each experienced a landmark final. ASM Clermont Auvergne, founded in 1911 by Marcel Michelin, lost ten championship finals before finally lifting the Bouclier de Brennus in 2010 against Perpignan. USAP, the blood and gold club that plays at the Aimé-Giral stadium, was crowned champions the previous year, in 2009, against the same Clermontois. Montpellier, younger in the elite, claimed its first title of champion of France in 2022 by defeating Castres. Each ball displays the colors and crest of its club.

Edinburgh, Glasgow and the Harlequins across the Channel

The selection also crosses the Channel. The Glasgow Warriors and Edinburgh are the two professional Scottish teams competing in the United Rugby Championship; Glasgow won the Pro14 in 2015 and then the URC in 2024. The Harlequins, a London club founded in 1866 and based at Twickenham Stoop, are recognizable by their multicoloured quartered shirt, one of the most famous in England; they were crowned English champions in 2012 and 2021. Their ball is available in a midi version, ideal for a young fan's room.

Size five for playing, midi for displaying

A club ball in size five, like the one from Montpellier, has the dimensions of an adult ball and is actually played with: passes in the garden, kicks on the beach, games with friends. Its quality is that of a supporter's ball, less grippy than a competition model but perfectly adequate for leisure. The midi ball, in size two, is significantly smaller: it fits easily on a shelf or in a display case and can be easily held in one hand during a signing session. Both should be kept away from sunny windows, which can fade the prints.

Frequently asked questions

Does a club-coloured ball count for an official match?

No, it is a supporter’s ball, designed for leisure and collection. Professional matches are played with the official competition ball, which meets the requirements for high-level performance in terms of covering and balance.

What size should I give to a child who's a rugby fan?

Size three is suitable for under ten years old, size four from about ten to fourteen years, and size five thereafter. For a little one or for room decoration, the midi ball in size two is easier to handle and store.

How can I get autographs on a ball?

Clubs' signing sessions and public training sessions are the best opportunities. It’s good to have a medium-point permanent marker and to have it signed on the lighter areas of the ball, which should be clean and dry, where the ink adheres best.

Does a supporter’s ball inflate like a match ball?

Yes, with a pump and a moistened needle, following the pressure indicated near the valve. A ball meant for display should be kept slightly less inflated, which helps preserve the seams and bladder over the years.

Why give a ball instead of a shirt?

A ball doesn’t raise any issues about clothing sizes and can be kept for years as a memory or decoration. It appeals both to young players, who use it in the garden, and to collectors who have it signed by their favourite players.
