Our page polo shirts Kappa brings together, when the brand offers them, the polo shirts from the Turin house featuring the Omini logo, which shows two silhouettes sitting back to back: polo shirts in the colours of the rugby clubs that it has dressed and everyday models, along with the history of Kappa and our tips for choosing your size in a fitted Italian cut.
The polo shirts Kappa.
The Kappa adventure began in Turin in 1916 when Abramo Vitale founded a factory for socks and underwear, the Maglificio Calzificio Torinese. The letter K, printed on the packaging of its products, became the name of the brand in 1967. Two years later, the Omini was born: during an advertising photo shoot, a man and a woman sitting back to back, backlit, created a symmetrical silhouette which Maurizio Vitale decided to adopt as the emblem. This craft of knitwear, the work with knitted fabric, remains the basis for the brand's polos, now owned by the Turin group BasicNet.
The polos are also available by brand:

In the Top 14, Kappa has mainly made its mark on two clubs. It dressed the Union Bordeaux-Bègles from 2013 to 2018, then again from 2023, and returned to Stade Français Paris in 2019, after an initial collaboration from 2002 to 2005. Around the jerseys, the brand offers club polos worn by staff and available to supporters: embroidered badge, club colours on the collar or sleeves, subtle Omini on the chest. They allow you to watch a match at Chaban-Delmas or Jean-Bouin in a more understated outfit than a playing kit, and keep it on for Monday at the office.
Kappa polos are often cut close to the body, in the brand's Italian tradition: measure your chest size, consult the size guide, and if you prefer a looser fit, go for a larger size. The club polos with short sleeves fit closely to the torso, while the everyday models allow a bit more room. To keep the Omini and badge intact, wash the polo inside out at 30 degrees, without bleach, and avoid the tumble dryer, which shrinks cotton and weakens the embroidery. Ironing, quick, is always done on the reverse side.

Kappa is the name of the Greek letter K, the initial that appeared on products from the Turin knitwear factory. The name was officially adopted in 1967, half a century after the company was established.
It belongs to the Italian group BasicNet, founded in 1994 by Marco Boglione when he took over the Turin company that owns the brand. The group, based in Turin, also manages other sports and fashion brands.
Yes, that’s the whole point of the polo compared to a match outfit: the embroidered badge and club colours remain discreet. It suits both an afternoon at the stadium and a day at work.
The brand's cuts are often fitted, a legacy of its Italian roots. To wear the polo loosely or accommodate a broad shoulder build, choosing a size up prevents it from being tight on the shoulders and arms.
