The French clubs, for the youngest.

Toulouse, Bordeaux-Bègles and La Rochelle in the spotlight

Young fans can find here the club kits that excite the championship. The Toulouse Football Club comes in home and away jerseys, a pre-match shirt, and a fourth kit, a rare edition worn during select matches. For the Union Bordeaux-Bègles, the range includes home jerseys, shorts, and tracksuits, allowing for a complete outfit in the colours of the Gironde club. The Stade Rochelais with its yellow and black, Stade Français, RC Toulon, Racing 92, Castres, and FC Grenoble complete the selection, from home jerseys to match shorts.

Top 14 and Pro D2: two professional divisions

The Top 14, which has had this name since 2005, brings together the fourteen best French clubs: the top six from the regular season compete in the finals, concluding with a final most often played at the Stade de France, and the winner lifts the Bouclier de Brennus, awarded to the champion of France since 1892. The Pro D2, created in 2000, comprises sixteen clubs aiming for promotion to the elite. The champion of Pro D2 rises directly, while the unfortunate finalist faces the second-to-last from the Top 14 in a play-off held each spring.

Shorts, jackets, and jerseys: getting the fit just right

Each piece is chosen with a different logic. The supporter jersey can be slightly large, to last longer and be worn over a t-shirt. The shorts, on the other hand, should fit at the waist without slipping: the elastic waistband and drawstring allow for adjustment, but a size too big hinders running. The tracksuit jacket is judged by the length of the sleeves and the freedom of the shoulders, allowing the child to lift their arms without it riding up. If in doubt, measure the child’s height and waist and refer to the supplier's sizing guide.

Frequently asked questions

Which is the most decorated club in the French championship?

The Stade Toulousain holds the record for Boucliers de Brennus, won many times since its first title in 1912. Stade Français and AS Béziers are among its main rivals in the rankings.

What is a pre-match jersey?

It’s the top worn by players during warm-up before they put on their match jersey. Lighter and often more colourful, it’s easy to wear on a daily basis and makes a unique alternative to the home jersey for a young supporter.

What are the colours of Stade Rochelais?

Stade Rochelais plays in yellow and black, colours that flood the Marcel-Deflandre stadium on match nights. The club, founded in 1898, was crowned European champion in 2022 and then again in 2023.

How to recognise an official children's jersey?

An official jersey bears the club crest, the equipment supplier's logo, and an inner label stating the license. Its seams and heat-pressed markings are neat and withstand repeated washes.

Why do clubs frequently change their jerseys?

Suppliers renew jerseys to evolve the design and fabrics while keeping the historical colours of the club. The home jersey often changes every year or every two years, and special editions are added to it.
