Our selection of Southern Hemisphere items for children highlights the major rugby nations of Australia, starting with the home jersey of the All Blacks in kids' size, black featuring the silver fern. Rugby from the South, for the little ones.
The jersey of the All Blacks has been completely black since the 1905 tour of the British Isles, which popularised the team's nickname. The silver fern, New Zealand's emblematic plant, has adorned the chest since the first official selection in 1893. Dressed by adidas since 1999, the Kiwis have been crowned world champions in 1987, 2011, and 2015. The children's jersey features this all-black design and the fern badge, in a comfortable fit to follow the Rugby Championship tests or the autumn tours in Europe.

All the children’s nations are gathered on the children’s nations page.
Since 2012, the Rugby Championship has pitted New Zealand against South Africa, Australia, and Argentina, which joined the former Tri-Nations created in 1996. The Springboks, in green and gold, won the World Cup in 1995, 2007, 2019, and 2023; the Wallabies, in gold and green, won it in 1991 and 1999. The Argentine Pumas, in sky and white, reached the semi-finals of the World Cup in 2007, 2015, and 2023. These rivalries fuel the imaginations of young players, fascinated by the South African power or the New Zealand passing game.
The Pacific islands are a hotspot for spectacular players. The Fiji, in white, dominate Rugby Sevens with two Olympic titles, in Rio in 2016 and Tokyo in 2021; Samoa, in blue, and Tonga, in red, have often shaken up the big nations in the World Cup. Each has its pre-match dance: the Fijian cibi, the Samoan siva tau, and the Tongan sipi tau, cousins of the New Zealand haka. Many players from these archipelagos play in French clubs, making these selections familiar to children.

The name of Super Rugby from 2011 to 2015, when the competition featured fifteen franchises from New Zealand, Australia, and South Africa. Today, Super Rugby Pacific includes New Zealand, Australian, and Pacific teams, without the South African ones.
Out of the ten editions held from 1987 to 2023, only England, in 2003, has interrupted the Southern nations' streak. Highly competitive professional leagues and a culture of fluid play partly explain this dominance.
Composed around 1820 by Maori chief Te Rauparaha, it celebrates life regained after escaping from enemies: ka mate is death, ka ora is life. The All Blacks perform it before their matches, alternating with the Kapa o Pango created in 2005.
